D-U-N-S, which stands for Data Universal Numbering System, is a nine digit code that helps to identify and connect over 72 million companies throughout the world. The Moura Clean line of stationary batteries has been approved by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel).
Achieved in 1995, based on results found from tests held by the Quatro Rodas magazine, according to specifications from the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT). Granted by the Center for Technological Research at the University of Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo.
Established qualification certificate needed by all of the car manufacturer’s main suppliers. Moura won the prize in 1996 and 2000.
This certification contains all of the ISO 9001 requirements along with a series of special and rigorous criteria established by the major manufacturers. It is a global benchmark for the quality management system required of company that work in the original automotive sector.
Granted by ABS Quality Evaluations, of the US, the certification recognizes the initiatives the Company has made in the Environmental Education area for employees and in its adoption of clean processes that seek to minimize adverse impacts on the environment. The standard was granted following rigorous inspection, wherein the efficiency of the environmental conservation practices used by the Company were verified. The ISO brings benefits such as promoting greater internal organization and employee motivation, in addition to increased productivity and customer satisfaction.
In 1994, Acumuladores Moura became Brazil’s first battery manufacturer to receive this certification from the American Bureau of Shipping Quality Evaluations (ABS). ISO 9001 ensures the quality of the management system developed by Moura.
Argentina Brazil Chamber of Commerce
Award granted by the Argentina Brazil Chamber of Commerce for companies that stand out in the integration process between the two countries during 2008.
Five-time Autop of Mind Winner
In 2008, Moura won the Autop of Mind for the fifth time. This prize is given to the automotive product brands that are most recalled by independent mechanics and end customers.
Two-time World Excellence Awards Winner
Given by the Ford Motor Company in recognition of the quality of products and services provided by Acumuladores Moura. During the awards ceremony, the Company also won the main award, The Golden Award, which is given to the best in the Auto Parts sector. The awards ceremony took place in Detroit (USA), in 2005. Moura also won the prize in 2001.
Volkswagen Product Quality Award
Given by the manufacturer to companies that stand out in Product Quality, Customer Service, and Services. Moura won the award in 1999 and 2000 as the best in the Electrical category. It was also given a special honorable mention that classified the Company as the Best among the Best.
Master of Science and Technology
The award, given by the Quality Research and Studies Institute (IEPQ) in 2001, is the result of research carried out with specialized journalists, university members, business administrators, consultants, and the business community throughout Brazil.
Top of Quality
Won by Moura in 2002, the award identifies companies that most stand out in terms of technological development, quality control, environmental policy, communications and marketing, corporate behavior, and customer service. Marketing consultants, journalists, advertising executives, and businesspeople choose the winner through the Quality Research and Studies Institute (IEPQ).
Autop of Mind Award – Mechanic Garages (1999 and 2001) and Consumer (2001) Segments
The award was created to find which manufacturers in the auto segment stood out the most regarding customers and mechanics. The winners were found by interviewing automobile and auto repair garage owners in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Salvador, Fortaleza, Curitiba, and Brasília, as well as administrators. Awards were given by the Mais Automotive trade magazine.
Best Performance Fiat
Won by Moura in 1989, the award is given to suppliers who stand out according to criteria and requirements established by the manufacturer.
Storeowner Merit Award
Won in 1994 and for the period of 2000 to 2003. Moura was chosen through an election involving more than 30 thousand members of the Store Directors Chambers of Brazil as one of the companies that most prioritizes quality and partnership in producing goods and services.
Delmiro Gouveia and Sesi Awards for Quality on the Job (1999 to 2001)
The Company was awarded thanks to the importance it gives to the Human Resources, Quality, and Corporate Management areas. The awards were given by the Federation of Industries of the State of Pernambuco (Fiepe), by the Joaquim Nabuco Foundation (Fiepe), by the Diario de Pernambuco (DP) newspaper, and by the State Bank of Pernambuco (Bandepe).
Destaque Award - Chemical Group Supplier
The award was the fruit of Moura’s initiative to offer consumers the first silver alloy battery in Brazil and for its constant enhancement of the quality of its products. Recognition was given by the Revista Autodata magazine, which asked automotive industry journalists to point to cases of success, companies, businesspeople and executives who stood out in 2001.
Recognized Merit Award
Given in 2002 by the Jornauto, based on a survey that found the best brand of battery in readers’ opinion.
Banco do Nordeste 21st Venture Award
Given to the companies that make the greatest contribution to Regional development. In 2002, Acumuladores Moura won the prize in the Industrial Segment (manufacturing, processing, and transformation of raw materials) category. The judging panel was made up of representatives from State Government, universities, trade entities, and the bank itself.
